Manager – Total Rewards & HR Operations

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Total Rewards & HR Operations to lead the design, implementation, and management of compensation, benefits, payroll governance, HR operations, and employee lifecycle processes for our clients. This role is ideal for an HR professional who combines analytical expertise with operational excellence to deliver efficient, compliant, and employee-centric HR solutions.

The successful candidate will partner with multiple clients to optimize HR operations, develop competitive total rewards programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive process improvements that enhance employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

Total Rewards

  • Design and administer compensation structures, salary benchmarking, job evaluations, and pay frameworks.
  • Develop and review compensation, incentive, bonus, and recognition programs aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and recommend competitive compensation strategies.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement benefits, wellness initiatives, and leave policies.
  • Support annual compensation review cycles, promotions, salary revisions, and incentive planning.
  • Analyze compensation data and prepare reports, dashboards, and recommendations for clients.

HR Operations

  • Manage end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee records, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
  • Oversee payroll inputs, payroll validation, statutory compliance, and coordination with payroll providers.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, HR policies, and internal governance standards.
  • Maintain HR documentation, employee files, contracts, and HRIS data accuracy.
  • Develop, standardize, and continuously improve HR policies, SOPs, and operational workflows.
  • Monitor HR operational metrics and identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and HR reporting requirements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to client leadership teams on compensation, benefits, HR operations, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless HR service delivery.
  • Resolve employee queries related to payroll, benefits, policies, and HR operations in a timely manner.
  • Lead HR operations projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or PGDM in HR preferred.
  • 6–10 years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, and HR Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation design, salary benchmarking, payroll processes, and employee benefits administration.
  • Experience working with HRIS, payroll systems, and HR analytics tools.
  • Good understanding of employment laws, statutory compliance, and HR governance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in HR consulting, HR managed services, or shared services environments.
  • Exposure to compensation benchmarking tools and HR analytics.
  • Experience supporting startups, SMEs, or multi-client environments.
  • Familiarity with HR technology implementation and process automation.
